Get App

I got my Android phone a while back when developers were not keen on introducing flashlight apps into their phones. Therefore, I have always had to use external flashlight applications. I have used a number of them, but my favorite is Torch Android app. This review will tell you why I prefer this app over others.

Interface 10/10

This Google Android app has an elegant user interface. One thing that stands out for me is the minimalistic UI. The interface only features the on/off switch and the strobe light which makes the app hassle-free. You really don’t need assistance to figure out how the flashlight works. The design is also impressive. Every option is conveniently located in different parts of the screen for easy access without making the app appear too confusing.

Features 8/10

The app has a number of features. Some of these features include a strobe light with a number of presets in case of an emergency. It also includes widgets and advertisements. However, do not worry about this because there aren’t many ads, and the user interface looks and works just fine even with them. However, this torch app is only compatible with Android devices. This means iOS users don’t get to experience this great app.

Performance 10/10

In my experience, this Google Play app for flashlight has reliable and consistent performance. I have used it a number of times, and I have never experienced any lags. I also like that it doesn’t use up too much power. In fact, it has a power-saving ability so that it does not use up your battery fast. This makes it reliable when you do not have your phone charger with you. However, the developers have not yet made updates to this app. One upgrade I would recommend is making the app available for all devices. I think this would be of great benefit to iPhone users.

Pricing

This app is free to download, and the best thing about it is the fact that it also doesn’t include in-app purchases. Everything you need is provided in the app.

Pros

  • Simple interface
  • Energy saving.

Cons

  • Ads
  • Android only.

Verdict

I like the Torch app a lot because it is pretty different from other flashlight apps. First, it doesn’t use up your power as fast as other apps do. Second, it has additional features like the strobe light which can help you in case of an emergency. The only issues I have with the app are the ads because I don’t really need them and the fact that it is not compatible with iDevices. However, since the ads do not affect your performance, I don’t think this is something you need to worry about. Therefore, I would highly recommend this app to anyone who is looking for a reliable Android phone torch app. You can get the latest version of this leading app on Google Play Store.
