It Seems That Tencent Has Shut Down Team Kaiju

It is reported that Tencent has shut down Team Kaiju, which was established by ex-Halo 4 design lead Scott Warner and Battlefield expert Rosi Zagorcheva.

While there has been no formal statement, the absence of the studio's online presence, including its website and LinkedIn profile, was noted in a LinkedIn update from a past team member.

The former employee mentioned, "It seems that Team Kaiju is no more. Tencent hasn't made any declarations. The team was full of remarkable people. I hope they find success moving forward."

On an X platform, video game informant Kurakasis shared additional information. According to them, "Tencent seems to have closed down TEAM KAIJU, the North American offshoot of TiMi Studio Group. Subsequently, just yesterday, Tencent pursued a trademark for TEAM JADE in Europe."

Kurakasis added in the post, "Team Kaiju had been developing an AAA multiplayer title. Notably, the studio's co-founders Scott Warner and Rosi Zagorcheva departed the studio in April of this year and April of the previous year, respectively."
