Free Update and New Expansion Released for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition

Continuing your city-building and conquest adventures in Age of Empires II will get more interesting. Coming next week are brand new features, including The Mountain Royals expansion. This expansion introduces two new factions; Armenia and Georgia, along with three different campaigns. Additionally, a free update will refresh Persia by introducing new content, visual upgrades, and abilities.

Each campaign will tell the story of significant historical figures from these new factions. The first highlights Queen Tamar of Georgia and her reign during the nation's golden age. The second campaign recounts Thoros II striving to free Armenia, while the last campaign centers on Ismail and the Safavid order in Persia's history.

Slated for release on 31st October, the expansion will be accessible on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
